Three persons were nabbed with unlicensed pistols and cartridges in Sriganganagar and Hanumangarh.

Anoopgarh SHO Pushpinder Singh said residents of Chohla Sahib, Amritsar, Balraj Singh and Jagrup Singh were arrested as they were walking on a road that linked the segment with the Pakistan border. Two pistols, made in Uttar Pradesh, and four cartridges were seized from them. On Tuesday evening, the duo reached Anoopgarh by a Punjab Roadways bus. They were heading towards the international border. A case has been registered under the Arms Act.

The Hanumangarh police seized an unlicensed pistol from Gurnam Singh of Surewala village. The accused is being questioned. —OC
