Three nabbed with heroin in Sriganganagar

Three suspects were nabbed with 488gm of heroin that was brought from Punjab for sale in Sriganganagar’s Suratgarh area.

Superintendent of Police Gaurav Yadav said the team of Sub Inspector Sampat Ram along with the District Special Team (DST) arrested Satpal Singh (22), a resident of Bhoepur village in Dharamkot Moga; Santosh Singh (40) of Bathinda; and a local conduit Satnam Singh (26) of Mokalsar after cops intercepted a bike near the bus stand in Suratgarh.

The value of the recovered heroin is approximately Rs 2.50 crore in the international market. Investigation indicated that they had come to sell the drugs and Satnam Singh was supporting them as a local contact. A case has been registered under the NDPS Act.

The City-2 police in Abohar seized 3,900 sedative tablets from Angrej Singh of Uttam Nagar and Manga Ram of Maujgarh village. They were held under the NDPS Act.
