A 45-year-old tractor driver was killed in a collision with another heavy transport vehicle yesterday near Dangar Khera village on Abohar-Fazilka road.

As soon as the incident was reported, the Sadak Suraksha Force (SSF) team reached the spot and rushed the tractor driver to Civil Hospital, Abohar, where doctors declared him dead. The deceased has been identified as Raghubir Singh of Abohar’s Jandwala Hanwanta village.

Witnesses said that a heavy vehicle coming from Fazilka hit the tractor near Dangar Khera village. The driver fled after the incident. The Sadar police have launched an investigation and taken possession of the heavy vehicle.
