On the martyrdom day of Mahatma Gandhi and other freedom fighters, a solemn tribute was paid at the District Administrative Complex today.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (J) Rahul Chaba, along with officers and employees from various departments, gathered to honour the sacrifices made by the martyrs. The tribute ceremony included a two-minute silence after a Punjab Police contingent paid their respects by lowering their weapons.

In his address, the Additional Deputy Commissioner emphasised following Mahatma Gandhi’s ideals of truth, love, and non-violence. Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, Raj Pal Rawal, also observed the silence with the staff, urging everyone to adopt Gandhi’s principles for a meaningful and successful life.
