Muktsar, January 25

Two brothers, who were working as embroiderers in Muktsar town, died of asphyxia at their Ghas Mandi Chowk residence here last night.

The deceased have been identified as 35-year-old Muhammad Mushtaq and 25-year-old Israfil, both residents of Bihar.

Sabina Parveen, wife of Muhammad Mushtaq, said the duo was sleeping close to a coal fireplace in a room. Mushtaq has three daughters, while Israfil was a bachelor.

The police have started an investigation in this regard and the bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination.
