Two youngsters were killed after their car rammed into a tree near an under-construction bridge on the Dirba-Kohrian road at Rogla village.

The deceased have been identified as Laadi Singh, 20, and Jatinder Singh, 22, both residents of Rogla village in Sangrur.

According to information, both youngsters had gone to Dirba to purchase some merchandise for celebrating the birthday of their friend. On their way back, they met with an accident. The impact was so powerful that both car occupants died on the spot.

The villagers said non-completion of the bridge had led to multiple mishaps in the past as well.
