Two persons were killed when a speeding car rammed into a bike near Rampura village in Abohar subdivision.

Atul Makkar of Bhagsar village said his father Dalip Kumar and neighbour Subhash were on way from Bhagsar to Sadul Shahar in Rajasthan. A speeding car hit their bike on the Defence road and dragged them to some distance, killing them on the spot. The car later rammed into a tree, passers-by said.

The bodies have been kept at the Abohar Civil Hospital mortuary. The car driver fled the spot after the accident. The Wahab Wala police have registered a case against the unidentified car driver under Sections 106(1), 324(4) and 324(5) of the BNS.
