Two farm labourers — Tapeshwar Thakur (45) and Ravinder Rai (36) — died of a snakebite at nearby Rolumajra village today.

The police said both were sleeping near a tubewell. As soon as they woke up, they fell on the floor. They were taken to a government hospital in Morinda, where Thakur breathed his last. Rai was referred to Government Medical College and Hospital, Chandigarh, where he died. — TNS
