Acting on a tip-off, the police have nabbed Baldev Singh, a resident of Chuhriwala Dhanna village, for selling intoxicating pills to labourers.

Cops said Baldev, who claimed to be a physician, was held with 230 banned capsules. A case under Sections 223 and 318 of the BNS has been registered against Baldev.

In another incident, 30 capsules (pregabalin) were seized from Jeevan Singh, alias Kaka, a resident of Patti Sadiq by Khuian Sarwar police.

A case has been registered under Section 223 of the BNS against Jeevan.

The police said sale of pregabalin capsules had been banned by the Fazilka District Magistrate.
