Two youngsters were killed, while their friend was injured, after a truck hit them and dragged their motorcycle for nearly 500 m on the Kotkapura road in Muktsar town on Tuesday night.

Sources said Arun and his friend, who worked for a courier company, were going somewhere. They met their two friends near the government college. “While they were talking to each other, a truck hit them, claiming their lives,” sources said.

The deceased were identified as Harnoor (17) and Bharat Kumar (18) of Chak Bir Sarkar here. Arun is under treatment at a hospital.
