Two-wheeler riders barred from covering face in Moga

Moga Additional Deputy Commissioner Charumita on Saturday issued an order to prohibit two-wheeler riders from covering face under Section 163 of the BNSS.
The decision has not gone down well with the residents as doctors have been recommending the people to use mask to reduce their exposure to increasing air pollution due to stubble burning.

The ADC said the prohibitory orders would continue till December 31 and those covering their face would be dealt sternly.
The ADC added that orders had been issued to control rising incidents of snatching.
A doctor said as air quality index worsened, more and more people were complaining of asthma attacks, increased inflammation and other respiratory system problems. Respirator masks worn correctly provide some protection by filtering out fine particles in the smoke, said another doctor.
