Two youths from UP killed in hit and run accident on Nangal Anandpur Sahib road

The deceased have been identified as Rohtash and Muslin, both residents of Uttar Pradesh. According to police sources, the duo was returning from Himachal Pradesh to Uttar Pradesh on a motorcycle when a speeding Swift Dzire car rammed into them near Jindwari village.
Both victims died on the spot. They were rushed to the Civil Hospital in Anandpur Sahib, where doctors declared them dead.
SSP Ropar, Gulneet Singh Khuranna, when contacted said that CCTV footage from the area helped identify the vehicle involved. The car driver fled the scene after the accident. Efforts are on to apprehend the accused, he said.
Based on the preliminary investigation, the Anandpur Sahib Police Station has registered has registered a case under Sections 281, 106(1), and 324(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against the accused driver.
