An unidentified woman’s naked body was found on the outskirts of Bara Pind village in the Kiratpur Sahib area of Ropar district. The body was recovered from a location close to the Chandigarh-Manali highway, raising suspicions that the crime may be linked to tourists or travellers using the busy route.

Police have taken custody of the body and launched efforts to identify the deceased. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Ropar, Gulneet Singh Khurana, confirmed that photographs of the woman have been circulated across all districts of Punjab and the adjoining areas of Himachal Pradesh.

A post-mortem examination is scheduled to determine the cause of death. Authorities have assured that a thorough investigation is underway.
