The Sikh Coordination Committee East Coast (SCCEC) and American Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (AGPC) have come out in support of farmers’ protest in India. During a convention held at Gurdwara Dashmesh Darbar, Carteret, New Jersey, the Sikh organisations ask the Indian Government to pass an ordinance to legalise MSP to cover all input costs, in addition to 50 per cent overhead premium for 23 crops.

The other resolutions adopted unanimously included dismissal of the Union Minister, whose son was accused of running his car over farmers in Uttar Pradesh’s Lakhimpur Kheri district in October 2021 and withdrawal of all criminal cases against the farmers in Lakhimpur incident.
