The chowki falls in the jurisdiction of the Kalanaur police station. SSP Harish Dayama, along with SP Jugraj Singh and DSPs Amolak Singh and Gurvinder Singh Chandi, reached the site around 10 pm, 30 minutes after villagers reported that they had heard a “big sound.” The police denied “any blast had taken place at all.”
