The randomisation of electric voting machines (EVMs) for the upcoming by-election of Ward 22 in the Abohar Municipal Corporation was completed under the supervision of Additional District Election Officer (ADEO) Subhash Chander.

The ADEO said the control units were allocated to the voting machines and one EVM would be kept at each booth along with a backup machine. The voting would be held on December 21 from 7am to 4 pm.

Election cell in-charge Karan Kataria and representatives of various political parties were present on the occasion.

The ward concerned fell vacant due to the death of the three-time councillor Thakur Dass Siwan.
