Was stuck at roadblock on Ferozepur-Zira road for 40 mins: Deputy CM OP Soni
Ferozepur, January 6
Deputy Chief Minister
OP Soni, who was here to take part in the stone-laying ceremony of the PGI Satellite Centre, was also reportedly stuck at a roadblock on the Ferozepur-Zira road for 45 minutes yesterday.
He had to make a distress call to police officials, who dispatched additional police force, to bail him out.
Soni claimed his convoy could not move further due to a traffic snarl-up on the road owing to the farmers’ protest.
Later, an IG-level officer came to the spot and got the traffic cleared for the further movement of the Deputy CM’s convoy. — TNS

in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is
run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any
bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and
partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense
of the term.
