Most development projects started in Abohar by the previous government have come to a halt after the change of power, says MLA Sandeep Jakhar.

The MLA visited the under-construction common water works of Khuian Sarwar and Telupura villages today. He said that the project was sanctioned to end the problem of drinking water in these villages. He said a common water works project was started in 2021 for Rs 6.61 crore. However, he said, after the change of government, the work had been stopped. He said it has now been resumed after a lot of effort.

MLA Jakhar said that about 1,214 families from Khuian Sarwar and Telupura villages would benefit from the new waterworks. Under this project, it was approved to build a new reinforced cement concrete (RCC) type storage tank by filling the old tanks; however, now the government has stopped its construction. He said that despite protests by villagers, the government was adamant on its decision.
