Bhullar said ponds would be developed with the ‘Thapar model’ in 20 villages of Abohar constituency so that the problem of sewage disposal may be solved permanently.

The minister earlier laid the foundation stones of various development works worth around Rs 80 lakh. He also inaugurated a newly built sports stadium in the village.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
