Rebel Akali leader and Rajya Sabha member Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa today alleged SAD chief Sukhbir Singh Badal was the “biggest enemy” of the state.

Reiterating that Sukhbir was running the party affairs like a dictator, Dhindsa said most of the senior party leaders were feeling ‘suffocation’ and were looking for an opportunity to leave the party. “Many of Akali leaders are in touch with me and will soon join hands with me to contest the next SGPC elections,” he said.

Addressing a meeting, he said his main aim was to “free” the SGPC, the apex religious body of the Sikhs, from the grip of the Badal family.

“I will meet Home Minister Amit Shah with a delegation to press upon him to get the SGPC poll conducted as soon as possible,” he said.
