The third day was earmarked by the BKU (Ugrahan) only for women, so all speakers at the dharna site were women. Even the stage secretary of the programme was a woman leader, Jasvir Kaur Ugrahan, who is Sunam block president of the women wing of the organisation. Several women also sang songs dedicated to the farming community. Speaking about the demands of the union, the speakers asked the state and Central Governments to frame farmer oriented agricultural policies.
