The woman, along with her husband Vicky Soni, has been charged in connection with a blackmail and extortion case that surfaced in September.
The case was registered on September 14 following a complaint by Constable Sandeep Jat of Bharat Nagar. According to Jat, he was assigned as the “chalani guard,” responsible for escorting Vicky Soni, who was detained under the NDPS Act, from jail to court. During the court hearings, Madhubala frequently met him, and the two became acquainted.
Jat stated that on one occasion, Madhubala invited him to her rented house and offered him tea laced with intoxicants. After he drank the tea, she allegedly recorded an obscene video and took compromising photographs of him.
She then began blackmailing him, demanding large sums of money in exchange for not releasing the footage. Over time, she extorted thousands of rupees from him, even forcing him to make online payments for goods purchased.
The situation escalated when she allegedly took Rs 1 lakh in cash from Jat, threatening to make the video and photos public. The couple, after Vicky Soni’s release on bail, allegedly began demanding Rs 5 lakh, threatening to falsely accuse him
of rape.
On September 3, the pair visited Jat’s house and demanded the money, prompting Jat to inform his father, who alerted the police. Madhubala has been arrested and remanded in judicial custody, while Circle Inspector Ajay Kumar is investigating the case.
