Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari said that the stretch will reduce the Delhi-Jaipur travel time from 3.45 hours to three hours.

This has become possible with the successful completion of 66.916-km long, four-lane Greenfield Bandikui Spur, constructed at a capital cost of ₹2,016 crore.

Gadkari described the project as strategic and said that it provides direct, access-controlled connectivity between the Delhi–Vadodara Expressway and Jaipur — addressing the lack of a direct route that previously compelled commuters to take longer, fuel-intensive journeys.

“The new stretch will significantly improve mobility and ease traffic congestion on NH-48 and NH-21,” Gadkari said.
