The school had the privilege of welcoming Honourable Sessions Judge, Surabhi Prashar, Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar, as the chief resource person for the session. A distinguished member of the judiciary, Prashar has previously served as Chief Judicial Magistrate, Mansa, and as Additional Registrar at the Supreme Court of India (2017-2021), adding immense credibility and depth to the programme. The event commenced with a formal welcome by Principal Inderpreet Kaur, followed by the presentation of a token of appreciation to the guest. Prashar offered a clear, meaningful and empowering overview of the POCSO Act and the legal framework surrounding child marriage, sensitising students about their rights, recognising unsafe situations, understanding unlawful practices and seeking timely support. Students also engaged in an interactive discussion with the guest, asking questions and seeking clarity on important concerns, which made the experience even more enriching and meaningful. The seminar proved to be a valuable learning experience, strengthening students' confidence, awareness and understanding of personal safety and legal rights.
