The school celebrated the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev by hosting an Interfaith Harmony Symposium, promoting unity and dialogue among diverse faiths. Principal Gulshan Kaur warmly welcomed guests and highlighted the importance of interfaith dialogue in fostering mutual respect. Coordinated by Col Daljeet Singh Cheema (retired), the event commenced with multi-faith prayer songs, symbolising harmony and love. The symposium featured insightful panel discussions, covering themes such as “The Dichotomies of Our Times and the Need for Interfaith Dialogue,” “Guru Nanak’s Philosophy of Peace, Harmony, and the Pursuit of Joy,” “All Faiths as Paths of Love and Compassion,” and “Interfaith Harmony in the Armed Forces.” Colonel Cheema’s book, ‘101 Divine Thoughts of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’, was launched, enriching the occasion with Guru Nanak Dev’s profound teachings. It was released by several eminent dignitaries like Justice Kamaljit Singh Garewal (retired), Justice Shabihul Hasnain (retired), Balram Gupta, AS Rai, Ashok Kumar, Lt Gen (Dr) KJ Singh (retired), AN Mathur, retired IAS officer, Vice-Chairman and Captain Narinder Singh. Principal Gulshan Kaur expressed gratitude to all attendees, calling for continued global interfaith discussions inspired by Guru Nanak Dev’s timeless message of unity, compassion, and harmony.
