The school organised a grand cultural event, ‘Shobhla Himachal’, on its premises. The members of school management graced the occasion along with Principal Gulshan Kaur. The event commenced by lighting the lamp of knowledge and wisdom by the guests. This was followed by depiction of the rich cultural heritage, festivals, sports, cuisine and economic growth of Himachal through mesmerising dances and songs interwoven in a well-crafted narrative. The wonderfully sung song by the students depicting folklore of Kunju- Chanchalo alongside the captivating tunes of the orchestra not only created a lively mood but also introduced the audiences to the traditional beat, sync and accent of Himachalis. The exhibition of Himachali paintings and artefacts along with the vibrant dances like ‘luddi’, ‘jhamakra’, ‘gidda’, ‘thoda dance’ and ‘pahari nati’ served as a treat to the eyes of the spectators. The various art forms like pictures, paintings and local handicrafts showcased the rich cultural heritage of Himachal. For guests and visitors, the event offered a great cultural immersion. The management committee congratulated the Principal for her visionary leadership. The staff and students were appreciated for the great efforts put up by them.
