With the digital world becoming an inseparable part of our lives, understanding how to navigate it safely is vital for every student. Keeping this in view, Sri Guru Harkrishan Senior Secondary Public School, Sector 40-C, Chandigarh, organised a Cyber Security and Cyber Crime Awareness Session under the visionary leadership of Principal Shama Kukkal. The initiative was jointly hosted by the school's Interact Club and Eco Club. The session was led by Puneet Arora, CEO of Ecologic Corporation and Head of Research at Social Substance, who shared valuable insights on how to stay safe and responsible in the digital era. He sensitised students to the rising threats of fake profiles, phishing websites, identity theft, ransomware and online scams, while also discussing the emerging challenges brought by Artificial Intelligence (AI). The session proved to be highly engaging as Puneet Arora connected effortlessly with the students through real-life examples and relatable scenarios, making complex concepts easy to grasp. His interactive approach encouraged active participation and reflection, enhancing the students' understanding of digital ethics and cyber awareness. The session served as a timely reminder that being a responsible digital citizen begins with awareness, vigilance, and the right choices online.
