Bhavan Vidyalaya, New Chandigarh, organised the RYLA Cyclothon “Udaan” — a two-day cycling expedition and awareness drive promoting environmental conservation and world peace — in collaboration with the Rotary Clubs of Chandigarh, New Chandigarh, Kasauli, Parwanoo, and Solan. The event was flagged off by Inderpreet Kaur, Principal, and Sneha Wadhwa, Vice-Principal, in the presence of Rtn Sonia Salaria, president, Rotary Club New Chandigarh. A team of 21 enthusiastic students and six teachers set off from the school campus, their bicycles carrying not just water bottles and helmets, but dreams of a cleaner, greener, and more peaceful tomorrow. The students also attended sessions on environmental protection, road safety, and leadership, and actively participated in a tree plantation drive, symbolising their pledge to preserve nature. The cycling enthusiasts were extended a warm welcome by eminent Rotarians at Rotary Chandigarh upon their successful completion of the outstation Cyclothon. The culmination ceremony at Rotary House, Sector 18, Chandigarh, was a proud moment for all. Every participant received a RYLA Certificate of Achievement, honouring their effort and discipline.
