Dasehra and Gandhi Jayanti were celebrated in BKM Vishvas School, Panchkula. Students and teachers together honoured Indian culture, victory of truth over falsehood and the thoughts of Mahatma Gandhi. During her speech, a teacher explained the importance of Dasehra to the students of senior classes. The little children of the kindergarten section came dressed up as characters related to Dasehra, like Ram, Sita, Ravana, etc. They were given the message of victory of truth over falsehood and brotherhood. On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, Bapu’s contribution was appreciated and students of senior classes sang songs. They were told how Mahatma Gandhi contributed to the freedom of the country by adopting non-violence.
