Students and staff members organised a blood donation camp on the school premises. The camp was undertaken under the aegis of the Arya Pradeshik Pratinidhi Sabha, New Delhi, and Arya Yuva Samaj, Chandigarh, with the joint collaboration of the PGI, Chandigarh and Merchant Navy Officers Association, Chandigarh. Justice Hemant Gupta, former Judge, Supreme Court of India, and Chairperson, India Internal Arbitration Centre, New Delhi, was the chief guest. Many NSS volunteers, alumni, general public from the vicinity of Sector 5, staff members, students and their parents joined hands together under “Sehbhagita” theme to support the noble cause. Doctors from Blood Bank, PGI, Chandigarh, Dr Anubhav and Dr Rekha, conducted the camp and ensured the safety of the donors. Adequate supply of bananas, healthy foods and milk bottles were offered as refreshment to the donors. They were also awarded with a certificate and a memento as a token of appreciation for their kind gesture. Total 170 participants registered and 104 units of blood were collected.
