On Gandhi Jayanti, Bhagirathi Das DAV Public School, Dharamsala, organised ‘Run for DAV’. The school principal, teachers, and students participated in the event. The mini-marathon began at DAV School, located in Kotwali Bazar, Dharamsala, passed through Gamru and Darnu, and ended again at DAV School, Dharamsala. Refreshments were arranged in the school for the children participating in the marathon. The event was organised with the aim of promoting world peace, goodwill, service, and health. The participants who got first, second, and third place in the competition were awarded. Kanishka, a student of Class X, got first place. Jatin, a student of Class XI, got the second place, and Arnav of Class X got the third place. The school principal, Dr Vipin Jishtu, said organising such programmes inculcates cultural, moral, and social values in the students.
