DAV Public School, Lajhyani, observed Swachhta Pakhwada with great enthusiasm and wholehearted participation by students and teachers. A series of activities, including awareness speeches, skits and cleanliness drives, poster-making, slogan writing, and demonstrations on hygiene practices, were organised to promote the values of cleanliness, responsibility and healthy living. The celebration held special significance as it coincided with Gandhi Jayanti, echoing Mahatma Gandhi's timeless message of "Cleanliness is next to Godliness." His ideals of simplicity, service and social responsibility continue to inspire our collective efforts toward a cleaner and healthier society. The initiative motivated young DAVians to embrace cleanliness and hygiene as integral parts of daily life, contributing to a cleaner, greener and more responsible tomorrow. Together, let us pledge to make cleanliness a habit and hygiene a way of life! Principal Sunil Thakur appreciated the active participation of students and teachers, encouraging everyone to uphold the spirit of Swachhta in their daily lives.
