Students of DAV Public School, Mohal, have once again brought pride to the institution with their stellar performances in recent inter-school sports competitions. In the U-19 basketball category, the DAV team emerged as champions, securing the first position after a series of impressive victories marked by skilful play and teamwork. In football, DAV teams demonstrated consistent excellence across all age categories. The U-19, U-17, and U-14 football teams secured the runners-up position, reflecting the promising potential of the school’s young athletes. These achievements are a testament to the dedication and perseverance of the students, as well as the unwavering support and guidance provided by their coaches and mentors.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
