International Olympiad of Informatics is one of the prestigious competition in the field of computer education. Its patrons are prestigious organizations like UNESCO and IFIP. In the world of algorithms and codes, Initially Zonal Computing Olympiad was conducted in which Samik Goyal, a student of Class XI (Non-Medical) of the school, qualified for the national-level competition and won silver medal. Out of 30 selected students for the national-level competition, four students were selected to represent India for the 36th International Olympiad in Informatics to be held in Egypt. He bagged silver medal and cash prize of Rs 50,000.
