Patiala Social Welfare Society awarded 12 teachers from the school and their mentor Principal Vivek Tiwari for their contribution in the field of education. The teachers who were bestowed with this honour were: Nimmi Chigal (PGT, convener NSS), Navneet Kaur (master trainer economics), Manpreet Kaur (master trainer social science primary), Shiwani (master trainer EEDP classes I and II), Kiranjeet Kaur (master trainer science primary), Kuldeep Kaur (Punjabi teacher), Damanjeet Kaur Ahluwalia (in-charge Jadui Pitara and STEAM activities), Gurpreet Kaur Pannu (master trainer value education), Meenakshi Nirula teacher (EEDP teacher), Tejinder Kaur (master trainer mathematics primary), Monika Kaushal (master trainer EEDP) and Lal Singh (sports teacher).

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
