School students shine in the DAV National Sports Meet Cluster Level Badminton Championship. The school organised a one-day DAV National Sports Meet Cluster Level Badminton Championship. Chief guest Vice-Chairman OP Sodhi, Mahender Singh Thakur, Principal, DAV, Hamirpur, National Badminton umpire and member of the Badminton Association of India Pradeep Thakur and umpire Susheel Kumar Thakur were warmly welcomed. The championship saw participation from students of DAV, Kangu, Hamirpur, Dehra, Baghni, Dharamsala, and Bharoli in the under-14, 17, and 19 categories for both boys and girls. In the team event, DAV, Bharoli, emerged as winners in the girls’ under-14 category, while DAV, Kangoo, was the runner-up. In the boys’ category, DAV, Bharoli, won, and Baghni was the runner-up. In individual matches, DAV Bharoli’s student, Utkarsh, won the under-19 boys’ category, while Dehra’s Anubhav was the runner-up. The best player awards were given to Utkarsh and Sanidhya Kapoor from DAV, Bharoli, Agastya Katoch and Radhika from DAV, Kangoo, and Shreya Rana from DAV, Hamirpur. Principal Surjeet Kumar Rana congratulated the students on their achievement and motivated them to work hard to be successful in future.
