The school observed Environment Week with enthusiasm and concern for the planet. A week-long series of thoughtfully designed activities combined environmental awareness with students’ creativity and expression. Students across classes III to X actively participated in a variety of artistic, reflective, and research-based activities centred on the theme of sustainability and ecological responsibility. The celebration began with imaginative expressions of love for nature through drawing, poetry, and poster-making. Students created visual art pieces like “A picture of my planet” and eco-logo designs, blending symbols of nature with powerful slogans such as “Earth First” and “Be Green, Stay Clean.” Others penned short, heartfelt poems dedicated to the planet, capturing the beauty of trees, rain, rivers, and the Earth itself. These creative pursuits were not only artistic exercises but also served as personal reflections on the role each child plays in caring for the environment. Moving beyond creativity, the week also focused on critical thinking and awareness. Learners explored environmental changes across time by designing thought-provoking comic strips that compared the state of nature in the past with its current condition. In another impactful activity, students prepared eco-time capsules, writing letters to their future selves about present-day ecological concerns and pledging steps they would take to support the Earth. Some even took on the role of myth-busters — debunking common environmental misconceptions through informative and visually engaging posters. Throughout the week, students were encouraged to reflect on their personal habits and develop a sense of individual responsibility. From writing green pledges and tracing hands with eco-actions to participating in group discussions and classroom displays, every activity was aimed at nurturing a generation of environmentally conscious citizens.
