A capacity building programme (CBP) on ‘Promoting mental health and wellness among students’ was conducted by Dr Pallavi Bhargav and Dr Seema Dutt, garnering enthusiastic participation from educators, counsellors, and academic professionals. The programme at the school aimed to equip educators and stakeholders with the necessary knowledge and tools to support students’ mental well-being in an increasingly complex academic and social environment. Principal Purnyma Wadhwa played a pivotal role in facilitating the programmers. In her address, she emphasised the importance of students having a positive mental health and wellness. Dr Pallavi Bhargav, Vice-Principal, St Vivekanand School, HMT, Pinjore, conducted insightful sessions on identifying early signs of mental distress, managing classroom stressors, and fostering an inclusive and emotionally supportive learning environment. Dr Seema Dutt, Principal, DAV, Riverside, focused on practical strategies for integrating wellness practices into everyday academic settings and promoting resilience among students. The CBP featured interactive workshops, case studies, role-plays, and group discussions, emphasising hands-on learning.
