The Diwali celebration at NRI Public School, Derabassi, was held with great enthusiasm and festive spirit. The students presented speeches and short skits highlighting the significance of Diwali - the victory of light over darkness and good over evil. Inter-house rangoli competition was conducted, where students from all houses displayed their creativity using bright colours, flowers and diyas. Each rangoli design beautifully reflected the spirit of Diwali, and the friendly-competition brought out the best artistic talents in the school. Students creatively painted and diyas with colours, glitters and mirrors. Scented and colourful candles were designed by students using craft materials, making for a dazzling display. Traditional matkis were artistically decorated showcasing the students' attention to detail and imagination. In support of environmental awareness, the school organised a rally on the theme "Say No to Crackers." Principal Suman Sharma addressed the students, emphasising the importance of celebrating the festival in an eco-friendly and safe manner.
