Diwali celebrations were held with great enthusiasm at Narsingh Das Public School, Taraori. The ceremony began with a Yagya, in which all students, teachers and staff participated. The Yagya was performed according to Vedic rituals, conducted by Acharya Munna Shastri. He introduced to the students Vedic practices. Various competitions were held during the Diwali celebrations. Students participated enthusiastically in diya and candle decoration competition, Toran and Bandanwar making competition. Students who secured first, second and third place were honoured. The cultural programmes presented by Jasleen Kaur, Subhneet Kaur, Harmeet Kaur, Siya Chaudhary, Ravneet Kaur and Awal Preet Kaur filled everyone with joy and enthusiasm. School Patron Madhu Gupta extended Diwali greetings to everyone. She honoured the teachers and staff with gifts. School Director Dharmendra Khera, observing the students' enthusiasm, said that this enthusiasm of the new generation is the hallmark of a bright future for our society. Wishing everyone well, he said that this auspicious festival may bring happiness, prosperity and new energy in everyone's life.
