Doon International School, Mohali, hosted the 'Mothers against Drugs' campaign to create awareness about early detection of drug abuse amongst children. The event was a part of the state outreach programme of 'The Punjab Lit Foundation', a non-profit organisation co-founded by literary luminary and social crusader, Khushwant Singh and Sanna Kaushal, media advisor to the National Commission for Women. Valuable inputs were also shared with Gaurav Gill, a body language and behavioural expert. The session was attended by Principals and teachers from prestigious institutions. Both fathers and mothers turned out in large numbers making the event a grand success. Principal Ira Bogra presented a token of thanks to the guest speakers and dignitaries. Addressing the gathering she reiterated the critical role of both the mothers and teachers in establishing a safe environment and building trusting relationships with children.
