Community helpers play a vital role in our lives and to make the children aware of them, the students of Prep I presented a scintillating show ‘Helping Heroes - building communities’. The aim of the show was to make the kids aware of the impact of community helpers on the society. The show unfolded with a role-play wherein the kids showcased their acting prowess to the fullest and exhibited the real role of helpers like cobbler, doctor, teacher, fireman, carpenter, gardener, policeman, etc, with the eye-catching props which created an altogether different ambience. The kids presented an action song on community helpers which left everyone spellbound. The kids learnt about community helpers through this and paid lovely tributes to all the unsung heroes who do so much for us and without them we cannot imagine our lives.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
