Eklavya School, Nakodar Road, Jalandhar, celebrates the birthday Dr Maria Montessori every year by organising a Montessori Mela in which kids give presentation on the use of Montessori materials. This year Montessori Mela was celebrated. Exhibition was organised in the school where the kindergarten and primary school students showcased their skills in manoeuvring the Montessori material. The parents of pre-primary and primary sections were invited. They appreciated and enjoyed the event. Nursery students exhibited the use of fruit cut outs, shapes, magic words and number tracing which help in developing the eye-hand coordination. Director Seema Handa visited all classes. LKG children exhibited the use of pink tower, brown stairs, seasons, animals puzzle, etc. UKG students exhibited the use of kitchen set, vowels, spindle box, hot and cold things, etc. Class I students did addition, first aid box, parts of a plant, modes of transport, things we get from plants, etc. Class II Students exhibited 3D shapes, place value, preposition, punctuation, road highway, action words, solar system, etc, to enhance their knowledge and make their learning more effective. Principal Komal Sharma appreciated the efforts made by the students.
