Shishu Niketan Public School, Behlolpur, organised an earthquake awareness session for its students to educate them about the causes, effects, and safety measures related to earthquakes. The session aimed to prepare students to respond effectively and calmly in case of an emergency. Experts explained the “Dos and Don’ts during an Earthquake” through engaging demonstrations and interactive discussions. Students were taught important safety steps like taking cover under sturdy furniture, moving away from windows, and protecting their heads and necks during tremors. A mock drill was also conducted to give students practical experience in evacuation and safety procedures. The activity helped them understand the importance of quick thinking and coordination during such natural disasters. The school principal appreciated the initiative, emphasising that awareness and preparedness are key to minimising risks during natural calamities.
