The School Education Department has written to all District Education Officers (DEOs) to ensure maximum participation of school students in a project of “750 million Surya Namaskar” from January 1 to February 7, 2022.

The students have also been asked to participate in a musical performance on Surya Namaskar to be held on January 26, 2022 across the country.

The National Yogasana Sport Federation is running the project of “750 million Surya Namaskar” in 30 states, involving 30,000 institutes and 30 lakh students.

The department has asked the DEOs to disseminate the information about the proposed project among teachers, parents and students and ensure maximum participation from every school.

The project is being organised under the banner of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav”.

Under this national-level event, 30 lakh students will be given e-certificates for their participation and 3,000 schools will be given trophies for their maximum participation in the project. A total of 60,000 teachers and 30,000 principals of schools will also be given certificates for their participation. During the project, 30 lakh e-books are being distributed among students and others.
