DAV Public School, Palampur, organised environmental activities and competitions in compliance with the directions of Joint Member Secretary, Himachal Pradesh Council for Science, Technology & Environment, Himachal Pradesh. The events like declamation competition (English and Hindi) on the effects of climate change and global warming, rangoli competition on environment protection and poster-making competition were organised. A campus cleaning campaign was also taken up by the students of Class XII on the occasion. A few nests for birds were hanged on the trees in the garden of the school. In English Declamation, Avantika Rana (Class-IX) bagged the first prize, Avani Katoch (class- IX) got second and Arunima Sharma (Class X) third. In Hindi Declamation, Nitin Jasrotia (Class X) got the first prize, Ojas Dixit (Class IX) second and Tanshika Arora (Class X) third. In the Rangoli Competition, Class IX-D bagged the first position, Class IX-C second and Class IX-A third. In the Poster-making Competition, Avantika Chawla stood first, Athrav Verma second and Devagya Thakur third. They all were students of Class VIII. Principal Dr VK Yadav appreciated the efforts of the students for participating in various activities and presented mementoes to the winners of the competitions.
