A felicitation ceremony was organised at Government Elementary School, Jandiala, Bullowal block, Hoshiarpur. Sham Churasi MLA Dr Ravjot Singh was the chief guest at the event and the function was also attended by Hoshiarpur District Education Officer Sanjeev Gautam. The MLA felicitated NRI Jasjit Singh Bajwa from Canada for his contribution in upgrading the school building. Addressing the gathering, Ravjot said the government was committed to develop the education system on modern lines. He appreciated the work done by schoolteacher Jaswinder Pal and said dedicated teachers are a boon for the society. Saplings were planted in the school to keep the environment clean. District Education Officer Gautam said schools have become better with the help of development grants released by the School Education Department and fellow gentlemen, especially NRIs. He appreciated the efforts being made by schoolteacher Jaswinder for the betterment of school and increasing enrollment.
