The campus of St Anne’s Convent School, Chandigarh, was abuzz with excitement as students gathered to celebrate Children’s Day with a vibrant fete. The event featured a delightful mix of games, food stalls, dance and other fun-filled activities. The celebration began with a special assembly. Students were apprised of the significance of Children’s Day, marking the birth anniversary of India’s first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, who was known for his affection toward children. The highlight of the day was school fete which offered various games like touch me not, hit the rat, spinning wheel, the hammer ball, marble game, burn the candles, etc. Food stalls offered a variety of treats, including noodles, pav bhaji, burger, pizza, bhelpuri, tikki chat and golgappa, dosa, idli, ice-creams, etc. School Manager Rev Fr Robert Fernandez addressed the children. School Principal Sr Siji appreciated teachers and other staff members for organising the fete successfully. The day became memorable as children were beaming with the fun and laughter.
