Global Wisdom International School, Derabassi, came alive with festive colours and cheerful smiles as students celebrated Diwali with enthusiasm and creativity. The celebration began with the lighting of the ceremonial diyas by Chairman Gurdip Singh Chahal; Members of Management Lakshay Jain, Barkha Ram and Subhash Chopra; and Principal Dr Basundhara, symbolising the triumph of light over darkness. This was followed by a special assembly featuring soulful prayers, inspiring speeches and an act emphasising the true spirit of Diwali - the victory of good over evil and 'eco-friendly' Diwali. Students showcased their artistic flair in rangoli making, diya decoration and classroom decoration competitions. Every corner of the school glowed with beautiful patterns, lights and joyful energy. Chairman Gurdip Singh Chahal and Principal Dr Basundhara appreciated the efforts of students and teachers, encouraging everyone to celebrate an eco-friendly and meaningful Diwali. A special festive lunch was also organised for the teachers and staff, adding warmth and togetherness to the celebration.
