Grandparents' day at Prabhakar Senior Sec School, Chheharta, Amritsar

Prabhakar Senior Sec School, Chheharta, Amritsar, celebrated Grandparents’ Day. The school organised special competitions for grandparents, which included musical chairs, bhajan singing, and bean sorting. The programme began with poems recited by students in honour of their grandparents, which touched everyone’s hearts. This was followed by a short play presented by children, beautifully portraying the importance of grandparents and the valuable lessons that can be learnt from their experiences. After that, the competitions began, in which all the grandparents participated enthusiastically. The winners were as follows: Musical Chairs – Santosh Sharma; Bhajan Singing – Usha Rani; Bean Sorting – Parvati and Shanti Devi (first prize) and Baldev Singh and Inderjit Kaur (second prize); Smartest Grand Couple Award –Mahendra Singh and Savinder Kaur; Smartest Grandparent Award – Praveen Kumari. At the end of the programme, school Director Rajesh Prabhakar, and Principal Rachna Prabhakar congratulated all grandparents and said such events are not only a source of entertainment but also strengthen the bonds of love, respect, and mutual connection between generations.
